Large, loud seafood restaurant on St Charles. It's somehow upscale without being pretentious. Lots of groups of friends and families talking and laughing and having a good time, just like us. We were seated inside on the second level, but they have plenty of seating outside and on the balcony. Unfortunately we couldn't hear the band from where we were. We came mostly for the oysters but we were in a group and ordered a bunch of food. The oysters were huge, both the raw and charbroiled variety. We went with the locals, which were really clean but lacked the briney flavor we were looking for. The charbroiled oysters were rich and buttery and perfectly cooked. The smoked redfish dip was so good, but we needed the crackers that came with the oysters to eat it all. The gumbo was really rich with its dark roux, and the crab claws were excellent. I also really enjoyed the tuna crudo, better than some sushi restaurants I've been to. Someone ordered the duck bacon wrapped scallops, which I didn't get to try but had my fomo going. There was also the burrata, a salad of some kind(house?), but the desserts wowed us all. They had me at peanut butter pie, but we also got the key lime and cinnamon rolls al a mode. They were absolutely huge and the 6 of us sharing couldn't finish any of them after our meals. The peanut butter was my top pick, the key lime was too sweet and not tart enough for my preference. I almost forgot the drinks, which again I didn't partake in. 4/17 can't get here fast enough, but everyone else had at least two. The service was equally excellent, our waiter was attentive and patient with our rowdy group. There were so many things on the menu that we wanted to try that we're already planning a return visit.

Rained parade day, but we consoled ourselves with some really great oysters. The duck boudin poppers were great too. The oysters were large, we had a half dozen of the lemon and the NO bar-b-que. Highly recommend!

We stumbled upon Seawitch Restaurant and Oyster Bar as we were walking back to the business district from the Garden District. We stopped because they had a sign advertising 1.50 oysters during Happy Hour. The service was great from the moment we walked in; everyone was welcoming and personable. Our waitress had actually just spent time in our home state of North Carolina, so it was great to meet a somewhat familiar face. The raw oysters were phenomenal. We also tried the garlic Parmesan chargrilled oysters and were very impressed. The grilled oysters came with a delicious hunk of bread. We were very full and satisfied leaving the Seawitch, 10/10 recommend!
